FL Rally and Club Ride - 7. Rain Day

7. Rain Day

I like breakfasts, but the hotel did not offer any. So we had to walk across the street to the Blueberry Muffin House. After my huge Blueberry Pancake and a coffee everybody, well almost everybody, rode as a group around the neighborhood.

Carol and I and some others had our doubts about the weather forecast. While it is sunny outside it ‘felt’ like rain to me. I think it is time to smell the flowers again, we just goofed off for a while, but near to mid-day the heavens opened up and we had a deluge of rain.

The waters poured down as if buckets were emptied. In no time the road in front of the hotel was under water. Cars trying to make it through the streets pushed huge waves in front, giving way to spray that even a good windshield wiper could not handle.
Rain Pouring Off the Roof

Ah, am I glad I am not on a motorcycle in this downpour. We did the right thing; we took a break.

During a lull in the weather we dashed across the road to a lunch spot, Carol loved her lobster roll there, for me it was an Italian Hero.

Would Hate to Be on a Bike and  Passed By These Guys

The afternoon passed by quickly, we read, took some notes, took a nap.

Yes, life is good…

Dinner was at a nearby brewery, homemade beer at the Sea Dog Restaurant washed everything down quite well, thank you.

It’s OK to have a drink, we walked, and nobody rode a bike to the brewery.
