Tanah Lot Sunset
Should Be a Beautiful Sunset |
We waited mainly for the sunset, one of the best on the Island… we waited for the green flash… but? No, did not see the green flash at sunset in Bali, either. I am on a quest!
I love the historical anecdotes and myths that
go with the creation of the temples. Just imagine… people believe these
stories.
Not really much different than the myths of a Virgin
Birth by Mary in Christianity, right?
Temple on the Right - a Beautiful Setting |
This small Temple Island was saved from the ravaging sea in 1980. A loan from the Japanese Government of about 130 million US $ saved this and other historic temples. Almost 1/3 of what you see of the Island today is artificial rock, preserved for the tourists. Preserved also, I think, for the religious aspect of this so important spot on Bali.
He Is Guarding the Viewing Area |
We came back to Uma Sari late that night it was dark when we stepped out of the car.
Late supper at 8 PM but we had our desert
early, in the car. Agung had bought us KLEPON, a sweet that made me lick my fingers.
